A little about Government Hill
Government Hill is Anchorage's oldest neighborhood, sitting up on the bluff above Ship Creek just north of downtown. It grew up alongside the railroad, and you can still feel that history in the streets, where modest early homes and well-kept older houses give the place a real small-town feel inside a city.
